Use & Installation Preparation Guide
Prepare the work area: For existing water lines, shut off the water supply, release pressure, and drain the section before cutting.
Measure and mark: Measure the required tubing length and mark the cutting position, allowing for the fitting manufacturer’s insertion requirements.
Open the cutter: Release the storage lock buckle and carefully open the cutter. Keep fingers away from the blade.
Position the tubing: Place the tubing in the cutting jaw and align the blade with your mark. Hold the cutter perpendicular to the tubing.
Make the cut: Squeeze the handles in controlled ratchet strokes until the cut is complete. Avoid twisting the cutter or forcing the blade.
Inspect before installation: Check that the tubing end is square and free from cracks, deformation, or loose debris. Follow the tubing and fitting manufacturer’s instructions for end preparation and connection.
Check the connection: After completing the installation, follow the system manufacturer’s procedure for checking for leaks.
Care & Storage
Remove cutting debris and wipe the tool dry after use. Inspect the blade regularly and stop using the cutter if damaged. Close the cutter and engage the lock buckle before storage. Keep out of reach of children.
